PRESS RELEASE: PCP Complaint Grievance Committee Meets Online to Ensure Fast-Track Redressal of Public Complaints

ISLAMABAD, October 23, 2026: The Complaint Grievance Committee of the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP) convened an online meeting on October 23, 2026, to address institutional complaints and safeguard the interests of students and the quality of pharmacy education.

In a major decision aimed at protecting students’ interests, the Committee decided to take strict action against unauthorized pharmacy programs. The Council is issuing show-cause notices to colleges operating without the required NOC and will also launch a public advisory cautioning students against seeking admission to unauthorized programs.

Furthermore, institutions found to have admitted students beyond their approved intake, or facing complaints regarding shortages of teaching faculty and deficient laboratory facilities, have been directed to submit written explanations within one week, while maintaining appropriate confidentiality during the proceedings.

To ensure the swift resolution of public grievances, the Council, on the initiative of the President, PCP, has introduced an expedited grievance-redressal mechanism. Under this system, the Committee will now hold online meetings twice a week to facilitate the prompt examination and resolution of complaints.

The initiative reflects the Council’s commitment to student protection, regulatory compliance, transparency, and the timely redressal of public grievances.
