Pharmacy Council of Pakistan Directs Institutions to Withdraw Unauthorized Pharm.D Advertisements and Cease Admission Activities

The Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP) has taken notice of advertisements and proposed admissions to the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) programme by the following institutions, which have not obtained the requisite No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Council:

1. KIPS College, University Campus, Gujranwala
2. Superior University, Sargodha Campus, Sargodha
3. Riphah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Riphah International University, Gujranwala

The Council has directed the above-mentioned institutions to immediately withdraw any unauthorized or misleading advertisements relating to the Pharm.D programme and cease admission-related activities until the requisite NOC has been obtained from the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan.

The institutions are required to ensure that no advertisement, prospectus, promotional material, or public announcement creates a misleading impression regarding the approval or recognition status of their Pharm.D programmes.

The Pharmacy Council of Pakistan emphasizes that institutions must fulfil all applicable regulatory requirements before advertising or initiating admissions to professional pharmacy degree programmes. Compliance with the Council’s requirements is essential to safeguard students’ interests, maintain transparency, and uphold the standards of pharmacy education in Pakistan.

Prospective students and their parents are advised to verify the approval and NOC status of an institution and its relevant programme with the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan before seeking admission.

The Council reiterates its commitment to ensuring quality pharmacy education and enforcing the applicable regulatory requirements in the public interest.
